More on the "free sms" post of 22 Sept 2006
Okay, maybe I didn't make myself clear enough... maybe yall saw the word "free" and got all excited, after all typing with one hand aint that easy. But the point of that blog post was this: I referred to the worldwide list of sms centres on my site at http://tipsntricks,wen.ru... I asked if anyone had successfully used any of those centres to send free messages... I saw that I'd been left a couple of comments and thought: "whey-hey, maybe there are a few souls out there who believe in giving as well as taking". The 1st comment: fuck knows what it meant. Maybe someone could take a look at it and translate? All I know is, it isnt the number of a sms centre. And the 2nd comment... some joker moaning that I havent listed any centres in the Maldives!!! What the fuck?!! For a start, it doesn't matter what country you are in or what country the sms centre is in. If the smsc is gonna let you use it for free, it will forward your message whether you're in the Maldives or the frigging Moon. But look, people... the practice of using unauthorized sms centres to send free msgs is dying out. Most networks' centres filter out msgs sent by other companies' phones automatically these days. The only way it'll work is if you try a smsc belonging to a network in a real poor country, where they use old computers and old software. Either that, or you try a more developed smsc on a day when the programmers there are tired or pissed off or something and either your msg slips thru unnoticed or they let it thru on purpose to annoy the boss. And if you find a smsc that _is_ letting freebies thru - for heaven's sake tell us! Either here, or on the forum on my site, tipsntricks.wen.ru. A free sms centre number wont last for long. So let as many people as possible take advantage of it before the Boss-Man pulls the plug! Please?
